We welcome all enthusiasts to join and participate in our club – owning a classic or British car is not a prerequisite. The greatest benefit to joining is the access to the club’s collective knowledge base, resources for spare parts, and guidance on repairs and service.
About our Club
Up to and during the 1960s, the main sports car focus in the Wilmington, NC area was racing and rallying. SCCA was the only game in town; eventually, even that outlet became non-existent. To hang out with other car nuts who liked to tinker with SU carburetors and Lucas electrics, you had to drive at least a hundred miles to find the next group of enthusiasts.
In 1998, a group of British car enthusiasts gathered, and the British Motor Club of the Cape Fear was born. The club has grown slowly but steadily since then, with a current roster exceeding one hundred enthusiastic family members.
