BMCCF Members,
Our trip to the Silver Coast Winery Bacchus Festival was different and enjoyable with the Greek food and Toga's. The Massey's and Samel's were the only ones brave enough to wear their togas and get in free. The rest of us just paid our five dollars admission. The weather couldn't have been any better.
You know, it's beginning to get embarrassing when you call and make arrangements for the British Car Club and you only get three or four cars to show up. I wish there was a way to get the members to participate in our outings. The ones who do attend have a great time and look forward to the next event.
The activity committee goes through a lot to come up with things for the club to do and try to please everyone. For May, the club is planning an informal car show at the Land Rover dealership on old Eastwood Road. We need to get as many cars there as possible because Land Rover is a possible sponsor at our November show. Their contribution would help us have more classes which means more awards.
The committee is also planning a luncheon trip to Southport in May. The weather is perfect this time of year. Take advantage of it. Wayne

Cape Fear Chapter - AACA April 24, 2004
Tom and Susan Roberson's Jaguar 1964 E-Type and Susan Billet's 1968 E-Type each took 2nd place in the "stock - open sports cars 1949-1969" category. There was no first place in that category, so they each won first in a way! John & Trudy Williamson took 3rd place in the same category, later vintage class, with their 1977 MGB. Mark Bergren is shown with Susan Billet. ◄At the left
is John Foster's MGA - almost finished! |
