President's Message

Past Events

BMCCF Members,

Well, 2004 is coming to a close. All the car shows are over and it’s time to start preparing for Santa.  This past year has been busy and enjoyable for me as President of the BMCCF.

We started what I hope will be a continuing tradition of having a committee to plan our show.  This year’s committee has put on a show that is second to none, thanks to the commitment of the members.

2005 will have Bill Massey as President, and Paul Buckner as Vice President.  With their leadership our club will be better than ever.  Thanks to Estelle Samel and Linda Masters for accepting a second term as Secretary and Treasurer.

I would also like to thank the membership for supporting our monthly activities throughout the year.  Having activities through the summer was well attended, even thought the weather got pretty warm at times.

Our trip to Boys & Girls Homes of NC at Lake Waccamaw was a huge success, so maybe we can make this a yearly event.  I know the kids would love to see us again.

This club is really starting to grow, so everyone pitch in and help our leaders so we can be a club to be envied.

Thanks for your support this past year.

Wayne

President BMCCF

News Flash from Tom Roberson

House Bill 1183 passed in July of this year which eliminates the need for safety inspection on cars 35 years and older. The new law will be in effect January 1, 2005! Is this not great? This portion of the bill was tacked onto which essentially concerned the number of tags a dealership is permitted to obtain each year.

To all BMCCF members,

My wife and I just received your newsletter and it reminded me to send you this note.

On behalf of the Triumph Club of the Carolina's, we want to Thank each and everyone of you involved with your car show. Not only do we always have a wonderful time, but we also appreciate your efforts in raising money for the Battleship USS North Carolina. Your show is well run and on a great site. We know what kind of preparation and work goes into hosting an event like this. You are to be commended. Wilmington and the surrounding area is still one of our favorite get a ways. This year was a tough one for us. We only made it to two car shows. But we knew that yours would be one of them. Once again, Thanks for a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Pat McMullen
Historian

PS I've attached a picture (←left) that I took after your show. These are some of our members cars in front of the great ship.
